          If you’re black or brown in America, chances are you’ve been stopped while driving, walking, shopping or returning from a trip abroad because you fit the profile of someone suspected of committing a crime. Racial profiling is one of law enforcement’s dirty little secrets and the ACLU launched a campaign that forced the issue into the light of day. As Ira Glasser pointed out in his 1999 remarks, “It is ubiquitous. It is happening in every state.
